Tec Tac Hockey School
Our School was established in 1997 with the partnership of Chuck Wight and Stuart Menzies. We initially operated as Capital Raiders Hockey School working in conjunction with the City of Nepean Women in Sport Programming to provide Competitive level summer hockey camps. Our hockey camps evolved from a one-week session at Walter Baker in August 1997 to offering 12 weeks of camps in 2009. Along the way we had stops at Bell Sensplex, RA Centre and Carleton University but have found a new home for the Summer of 2011 at the Nepean Sportsplex and Walter Baker Arena in Barrhaven. We bring a wealth of experience in the Competitive hockey environment with a combined 40 years of coaching knowledge that we pass on to all of our students.
Our goal
To provide your children with a challenging hockey structure but more importantly allow them to have fun while learning at an elite level.
Our focus
To develop both the technical and tactical elements of our game. This is an excellent benefit to the athletes by providing a well-rounded learning experience to meet and exceed their hockey goals. We also stress the importance of developing their personal skills with an emphasis on respect, dedication and teamwork.
Our strength
Our School offers superb quality Instructors who create and nurture an excellent learning environment. They are elite level players, but more importantly, they are enthusiastic teachers for your children.
We pride ourselves on providing high-tempo sessions with a minimum 6:1 student/teacher ratio. Additionally, with our emphasis of on-ice sessions we provide the student a greater opportunity to develop their skill sets. We look forward to the opportunity of your Child attending any of our sessions so we can pass on our years of successful teaching experience.
See you at the rink!
